Hi, welcome back, friends. I am so grateful that you are all here coming in from all over the world. We are such a great NeuroTribe community and building and growing every single day. As promised, every 10th episode, I am having a guest from our NeuroTribe community. And today we have Mr. Oleg. Oleg, say hi.
Hello. Glad to be here. Thank you. So Oleg is actually by ITGuy, and I genuinely love to hire within the community. So my intention is to hire neurodivergent individuals or people that have neurodivergent children. And Oleg actually has a daughter, beautiful Rita, and she is on the spectrum. Oleg and I work together doing IT.
As you guys all know, I am not great with tech and Oleg is kind of the go to person that I have. Whenever I have a problem or I'm stuck in some way, I will call or Google chat Oleg and he helps me through it. And I very commonly joke around with him that he has magic. Because sometimes I have a problem and I can't figure out how to do it and he doesn't even do anything.
I just get him on the line and it gets fixed. So, I kind of think Oleg has magic. No comment. No comment. All right. So part of the purpose I really wanted to talk to Oleg today was You honestly are really amazing. And he's always sending me all kinds of different things to be able to help my neurodiversity, or if he notices something will help the neurodiverse community.
And so sometimes it has to be with like an extension that you add to your toolbar, or it's an AI, something or rather that can help with ADHD or. A feature that you can talk into and it can summarize. So I wanted to just kind of open that playing field and let Oleg talk about some of the things that he has found that can really show up to serve all of you and tools that are ready and you can utilize right away for either free or low cost.
So Oleg, the stage is yours. Thank you. Well, I, I, like Therese said, I'm in IT and I've been in IT for a while. So. And I've used my main purpose of what I do is to try to bring solutions that are technical in nature to businesses, because, you know, businesses typically have issues and they need to be resolved somehow, but a lot of IT solutions in the past had to do with, for example, let's say you want to track something.
So you use a spreadsheet, you put it in. And if you look at it from a standpoint of neurodivergent community, it's not very helpful. Okay. So you can do a spreadsheet. Maybe you can track something related. To it, but it really isn't much help. So when AI came out, I became very enthusiastic about using it because I saw it actually has a certain degree of intelligence.
It's not as smart yet as some of the human beings that built it, but at the same time, it's smart enough where it can really be helpful in various tasks and various things that it can do. The small example would be, let's say you have a person who, you know, You're divergent and they need to read long articles.
It really irritates them and they just don't want to spend the time. It's not something they like to do or want to do, but they have to do it. So, for example, you can use AI to simply give it whatever the document is and say, summarize it to me in three paragraphs, or summarize it to me with five key takeaway points, and it'll fairly quickly go ahead and, and come back with the.
Uh, summary and the takeaway points, which is exactly what the person wants to do. So that's where you can use technology. And that's why I'm excited about it, that you can actually help people who are neurodivergent, uh, to solve their problems to a degree using some of these technological issues. So the bottom line, there's a number of tools, uh, especially on the AI spectrum, and they're all very low cost.
In many cases, they're free. And they allow, I think they have a lot of potential for positive use to help neurodivergent people and their families to cope with the situation a little bit better, or do things faster or save some time or, you know, basically resolve whatever issues they have in the appropriate manner.
Maybe they have a task that's overwhelming. So they can ask AI to break this task into smaller steps. And then if that's not enough, then you can ask it to break it into even smaller steps. And then you got this list of these steps, and then you just go through the list, and then things get Obviously a lot easier to get things done in smaller little chunks than doing everything in one way.
So there's a number of different things. I'm pretty excited about using that technology for, for people to help them out. Yeah. And you also introduced me to, and I know I really appreciate this as a person with ADHD, right? And then I also have thought about people that are dyslexic, people that are dysgraphic.
Be able to talk into an AI and have it be able to take all of your ramblings, all of your talking and be able to structure it in a way where it makes sense and summarizes what you are saying. Do you want to talk a little bit about what that is, what it's called and what that is? Yeah. Yeah. So there's one, one, there's a number of tools, but one particular one.
It's called audio notes. And basically what it does, it allows you to say anything you want into it using your voice, it then converts it into.
And then it gives it back to you as a note in, you know, that's basically properly spoken. So you can take anything you want and you can ask it to rewrite it and it's got to rewrite it in a different manner. You can tell it to fix all the grammar, fix all the spelling errors, all of these little things that people do.
And it's obviously, it's not just neurodivergent people who make spelling mistakes, plenty of people make those. So you can use these tools to help you. To basically get beyond these problems. So you don't have to worry about spelling correctly. You can just tell it going to go ahead and take care of that, take care of grammar.
And at the same time, this tool audio notes, the nice thing about that is it doesn't change the content in terms of the topic of being discussed. So you just have, like Teresa said, I don't know if I'd call it ramblings. Basically you just say whatever you're saying, and then it'll convert it into a better sounding.
English, and then without any errors, without any spelling mistakes, and then give it to you as a piece of text that you at that point can, you know, put in your emails, put it as documents, whatever you want to do with it. And of course, one of the other nice things about AI these days is you can also tell it to take this, whatever the content it created and convert it to Spanish or convert it to German.
And so you've got all these languages you can also work with. So there's a number of possibilities of how these tools could be very, very useful in writing. And then reading and, you know, even simple things like coming up with email. A lot of times you sit down to type an email and for whatever reason, you just can't come up with the right way, or you put something down and then you don't really like it and things like that.
So that's where AI comes in. Cause it can help you. You can just give it a little bit of instructions about what you're trying to accomplish and it'll do a beautiful job creating it for you. And then of course you can tell it to do it again. You can tell it to redo it. You can tell it to change this to that.
You're in control. And you just have this really kind of smart, capable tool that will really help you with a lot of different things you need to get done in your life. And I think the thing that I really appreciate is you have taught me how to use and utilize myself. And when I first met Oleg, gosh, I guess it was about a year ago now, um, I was in the midst of writing my business program, Mind Ascend.
I think I had so many ideas that it's like I couldn't type fast enough. I was struggling to narrow in on those ideas. Uh, and then what Oleg really taught me to do is use the AI number one for my outline and breaking things down in a smaller task. But then also, what I started With, um, Google docs and word docs and I would type everything that I was thinking and then I would put it in AI and I would say, don't change any of my words, help me with structure and spelling and grammar and fine tuning this and then AI would restructure it for me so that my writing just kind of had a better flow to it.
Okay. And I think that that's been very powerful for me. I was a very productive person to begin with, overachiever, you know, overthinker, that sort of thing. But what that did was it gave me the ability to write this business program in less than a year. It helps me write several books now, and I use it to write almost all of my articles.
Now, everything that I write and put out there is coming from me, it's coming from my thoughts, my note, the things that I noticed, the patterns that I noticed, and the tools that I come up with to help people. However, the AI is really helping me fine tune and structure and produce at a, uh, more rapid rate.
And so I'm very grateful for that and for Oleg teaching me how to really utilize, um, AI in that way. And another thing that was really powerful for me is Oleg has taught me or given me the ability to add more extensions on to my browser that make my life easier. So why don't you explain some of those?
Yeah. So basically it's, you know, anything to do with computers to do with the internet, then you obviously know the internet, you pretty much use the web for the most part and emails. Some people are afraid of using it. It's like, you know, I'm afraid of AI. And when people tell me that it's almost, you know, I don't laugh at them, but at the same time internally I do, because if you think about it, it's nothing special.
It's basically a tool. Like if you want to put a nail in the wall, you get a hammer and you nail it and you, you know, beat on it until it's in the wall. It's not like anybody's afraid of hammers. Right. Because it's just a hammer to get the job done. So you need to think of AI and using any IT related tools as nothing but helpers for your, to aid you in being able to get something done.
That's all. It's not anything scary, even though it looks like it's fairly intelligent, which it is. It still doesn't mean anything. It's just a tool. Yeah. Okay. So like in case of Teresa, for example, she wanted to create a course and she wanted to put that course online. She doesn't know how to do this, how to put things online, how to make pages that people can click and pay money for, and things like that, all of this requires a certain amount of knowledge.
She doesn't have time or interest in learning that, but she needs to get it done. So that's where she came and basically got me involved because that's all I do. It's a synergy between, you know, I could never put together a course in neurodivergent, uh, for neurodivergent individuals like she did, because she's a pro in that area at the same time.
I do know how to use technology. So combining the two gets things done. Should we look at it? And I think another thing that was a game changer for me is you had me add this extension. called Read Aloud Text to Speech, and I really appreciated that because honestly, I'm reading all day long, and my eyes don't.
But the muscles of my eyes don't work together. In addition, having ADHD and dyslexia, when I read something or I hear something, my brain interprets it differently, right? So adding this extension onto my computer was really a game changer for me. My computer read aloud everything to me. I research things.
I get kind of hyper fixated and I research things. And my eyes get very tired, but then also when I'm reading things, I'm wanting to take notes. And if I stop reading the thing to take the notes, I might forget what I wanted to say, or I might go down another rabbit hole. Whereas if I'm having this extension read out loud to me, I can actually take notes of my thoughts as it's reading out loud.
So it's very powerful. The other thing that I have really noticed is I have been doing a lot of work with companies and having companies hire me or contracts me for different various things, being an expert in neurodiversity, right? There's not that many of us out there. So what I will do is I will have this extension.
Read the proposals out to me. And what I noticed is it catches so much more than if I were just to read it myself. The other thing that I really like about it is I will type out an email or I'll type out a document or I'll type out a proposal. And before I send it out, I will feed it into the read aloud.
I'll have it read it aloud to me. And when I hear it, It really helps me catch things that I wouldn't have if I had just typed it out and sent it. So it helps me kind of adjust and alter what I need to, and I think that it adds this level of fine tuning and professional that I really appreciate. Yeah, no, there, there's tremendous number of tools that are available.
Like, you know, one of the things that recommend people use, which I'm a huge fan of is called perplexity. And so what it is, it's basically a AI based answer engine. You go type in a question, it gives you the answer. It gives you the, uh, sources where it got the answer from. So, you know, very, very simple.
And I actually don't use Google anymore to look for stuff. I just simply use perplexity. So it's perplexity. ai. And the reason for that is because if you think about it, the way people communicate, when you talk to somebody, you ask them a question, they usually either give you an answer or they tell you they don't know, they do not give you 10 links back like Google does.
And so we've just kind of conditioned over time to, you know, Google and Google it. But now with perplexity and similar tools like that, you know, you just ask questions, you get the answer. So that's one example of, you can, something you can put in your browser and use it whenever you have any questions. I mean, there's literally hundreds, if not thousands of different things you can install on your browser.
And I'm not recommending you install a ton of them because it all it's memory. But when you have a need, like Teresa was talking about being able to audibly hear content, then that's what you install. So you go research, find whatever it is. And then if you like it, you install it. If you don't like it, you uninstall it.
One other thing I'd recommend is for example, Google has. A recorder application for their phones for the, I'm sure they probably have it on iPhone too, but certainly for Android phones, which is what I use. And so it allows you to record anything just like, you know, audio recorder. The beauty of it is it immediately transcribes it into text without you having to do anything.
And then what you can do is you can share it to any app you want. As either audio file or as the transcribed text. So in my case, what I do, I record something audibly, like Teresa said, when you're out and about, you have some thoughts, you just record, record, record, and then you share that in my case, I share it with Google keep because that's where you usually keep text notes.
And then the nice thing about keep has got really good search capability. So in the future, I can go in and I can look for any kind of content that they want, and it'll come up because. I initially recorded it using voice and that everything is stored as text. And now I can search through all of that. So there's myriad of possibilities.
And the main thing I would say is that think about what would be useful for you because everybody has different needs, different challenges. And then based on that, do a little bit of research. Use perplexity if you want to say, what's the best tool to use for fill in the blank. And then it'll tell you, and then you can go ahead and get it.
It'll give you the directions of how to do it. And so even if you don't have an IT person, you can call. By the way, I'm available, but if you don't have an IT person to call, then you can certainly use perplexity to help you find where it is, how to use it. Things like that. Don't get overwhelmed. There's a tremendous amount of stuff out there, but the important things that the, the help tools are available.
A lot of them are free, you know, a ton of them are free. And at the same time, they're super helpful and useful. And I definitely recommend looking into it. Yeah, absolutely. I think the other thing I'm really excited about is all of these tools plus more. I have a membership that is launching in May and I am going to be adding as many tools that are neuro friendly as I can into that membership with the help of Oleg.
Thank you. Everybody give Oleg a round of applause. And so I'm just, I'm very excited to be able to add these tools into their community to be able to help and give as many free ones out as we can, right? And so Oleg, can you tell me where do we find you if someone wants to talk to you? If someone really feels like, wait, hang on.
What that guy said, by the way, amazing Russian accent, but what that guy said, I need to talk to him. How do we find you Oleg? You can find me via my website, which is pcs dot com. Uh, company is called Productive Computer Systems. So it's PCS for short and dash, you know, with a minus sign, the word works. com.
You can contact me from there. And if you want to email me, it's just Oleg at pcs dot com. PCS Words. com. Either way, yeah, I'm easily found. You can always find me through Teresa as well. Yes. She knows where I am. I do. I know where to find you. So I know that I am your client, but what is.
I've been in IT for four and a half decades, so for a long, very long time. And I've done just about anything you can think about, IT related, and now I'm heavily into AI, as you can tell, small businesses can't afford to have their own IT department, they all need it, but they can't afford it. So I came up with Concept IT in a box.
So people are looking for, just like you pick up the phone to call your accountant and ask the question about some of the invoices, same kind of deal to you. You can pick up the phone, Oh, like I need this, or how do I do that? Or, you know, anything related to technology. So that's one way. Another thing that if you have a specific project with Teresa had, with putting her course online, then obviously I can do that as well.
So that's another thing. And the only other thing I would say is that whenever you're looking for IT people, Be careful because there's, you know, most of the IT people out there probably know more about IT than you do as a business owner, that's a normal thing. And so unfortunately, you know, there've been some cases where IT people are not exactly as ethical as they should be.
So always make sure whether you're talking to me or anybody else that you do your due diligence and making sure that these people can explain to you why you should hire them and what they will bring to the table. So it's very clear. That you're hiring somebody that makes sense to you, put IT stuff aside and actually talk to them as a person to person and see it, to me, attitude, I think is much more important than any kind of knowledge and stuff like that.
But yeah, I mean, I'm, you know, easily found and I'll be happy to talk to anybody. Yeah. So there's a couple more places that you can find Oleg and he is being very humble right now, by the way, you guys. But Oleg makes AI artwork all the time. And he actually has, is it an Etsy shop? Oh, it's called Contagious because I wanted to have something with the word AI in it.
Okay. And there is another thing that you do that I find interesting. It has to do with, now correct me if I'm wrong, you make QR codes for Places like restaurants and things. Can you explain that? No, it's not, it's not QR codes. It works on QR codes, but basically it's customer loyalty programs. So if you, if you know of customer loyalty programs in places like McDonald's and Applebee's, they all tell you to use their app and they will give you some discounts.
Uh, I put together my own loyalty program, restaurants for small businesses. All you need is a phone. There's nothing to download or install, no apps of any kind. It just, it works off QR codes. That's what Teresa brings up, QR code. And so if anybody's looking for a customer loyalty program that's super easy to use, then I can talk to you about that as well.
Yeah, it actually just occurred to me. I was in season, on season 11 of The Blocks that airs on Prime and You can download an app that the show runs on. I have a friend who owns a creep place in Arizona called Ole Ole, and it occurred to me, I should introduce you guys so you can set up a customer loyalty.
thing for her. That would be amazing. Oleg, thank you so much for coming and doing the show with us today. I feel like you gave us all a lot to think about and things to look in, research. If you want to find Oleg in the show notes, I will add his web address in the show notes for you guys, so it's easy to find him.
Always feel free to reach out to me. I'm always here for you guys. But I also want you to be able to find Oleg because he has a heart of gold. Okay. I love you guys Have a wonderful day. Bye
